David Piper is a performing songwriter based in Los Angeles. Since 2005, he has been performing with Earl Grey as part of the duo, "Piper-Grey", and together they produced their debut album entitled "Apples" (Trough Records) in 2008 to critical acclaim. Piper has published three solo albums, all on Trough Records as well; "Lucky Penny" in 2000, "All My Angels Past" in 2002 and "Lemonade Shoes" in 2005. Piper just released a book he finished, started by his father, Keith Piper, called "The Single Wing and a Prayer". The book chronicles Keith Piper's life in football as a head coach at a small college in Ohio, and outlines his version of an antiquated offense, the single wing. For purchase of the book go to denisonbookstore.com and for cd's... davidpiper.net and piper-grey.com.
David will appear this night with Greg Samuel, an outstanding player who will bring his trombone, flugal horn and stand up bass.
Piper-Grey will return to Pho King on Friday, February 21.
