On Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Maui Sugar Mill Saloon in Tarzana, CA, , I played five songs as part of Chad Watson’s “California Country”. Chad has a band playing there once a month .. great musicians all, and he invites performers to come up and front the band.

I played the following songs from my new album called “Requiem for a Folk Singer”: Don’t Cost Nothin’ (to be kind); The Whistling Tune; Numbers, and Honey with that Hot Sauce. I covered Gram Parsons’ Return of the Grievous Angel to finish the set.

Playing with Chad Watson’s band is an honor and damn fun, because they can really find a groove and deliver it. I look forward to the next time I get the chance to step up with them.
